If you’ve got a summer holiday coming up, then no doubt want to look beautiful when the time comes. Some people do this by having expensive beauty procedures that offer the world and produce little results, but you can do it the all natural way. The longer you have before your holiday the better – so you should start now!
Eat a Healthy Diet
The first step to looking naturally beautiful is to get your diet right. Diet is the most important out of everything, even exercise. It isn’t about starving yourself or eating ‘diet’ foods to look beautiful, it’s about filling up with nourishing food that’s good for our bodies. If we eat rubbish, we generally feel and look rubbish – so cut out junk food, and keep treats to a minimum. Have just a couple of treats per week to get the best results. You then need to make sure you’re drinking plenty of water and green tea, eating lean meat, nuts, eggs, fish, greek yoghurt, veg, fruit, and other natural foods. There are many diets you can choose from that aren’t fads too, like the paleo diet, ketogenic diet, and slow carb diet. You need to find what works for you best.
Regular exercise not only helps you look good, it helps you feel good with the release of endorphins too. Exercise 3 times a week to start with (try a fitness boot camp, running or cycling if you don’t like going to the gym), and bump it up when you feel more comfortable. Always allow yourself 1-2 rest days to recover, or you could actually end up hindering your progress. A mix of resistance training and cardio is good, but you need to enjoy what you’re doing or it’s no good for you. If you don’t look forward to your workout every day, then it isn’t for you.
Take Vitamins and Supplements
Vitamins and supplements can help to give your body anything it’s missing out on, and help to clear up your skin, make your hair fuller and longer, grow your nails, and make your eyes shine. You can find vitamins for hair growth online, so if you want longer hair for your holidays try them out.
Stick to a Skincare Routine
Look after your skin with a daily cleansing, toning, and moisturising routine, and don’t forget to moisturise your body either! Use a face mask weekly, and any other treatments you may need, like wrinkle creams. You may also want to exfoliate once or twice a week to clear your skin of dull cells and make it appear brighter.
Apply Hair Masks and Oil
Hair masks are just as important as face masks, and these can further help condition and growth of your hair. Hair oil will help to repair and prevent damage, and help your hair to look smooth, silky, and shiny. If you don’t get your hair in top condition before spending lots of time in the sun, it could become damaged and dry.
