Girls, do you look in the mirror and think your skin could use a little help? Chances are you’re missing one of the following essential products from your skincare kit. Take a look and see what you’re missing to improve your skin’s glow:
Face and Body Wash
A quality face and body wash are both essential products. Your face wash should be perfectly suited to your skin type, so if you’re unsure you’ll need to chat with a professional on a beauty counter – they may even be able to give you some samples. As for your body wash, companies like this make authentic African black soap which is perfect for use in the bath or shower.
Cleanser, Toner and Moisturiser
All girls need a cleanser, toner, and moisturiser to use at least once daily. Ideally, you’ll use them once in the morning and once at night to cleanse your skin of the days/nights impurities. It helps if you use products from the same range as the ingredients work to compliment one another this way, rather than contradict and hinder each other. Again, if you’re unsure you can speak to a professional found on a beauty counter.
Rich Body Moisturiser
A rich body moisturiser is essential, especially as the sun is about to come out. Too much sun exposure and no moisturiser can result in leathery looking, dry, tight skin.
Face and Body Scrub
A face and body exfoliator have many benefits; they reveal glowing new skin beneath old, dull skin, then improve circulation, aid the flushing out of toxins, reduce the appearance of imperfections like age spots and stretch marks, and more!
A weekly or once fortnightly face mask will help to detoxify your pores and help you to feel soft and refreshed. This is a lovely treat for the skin, so try it and see what difference it makes.
If you wear makeup but aren’t using a primer, you’re missing out! A good makeup primer helps to prep the skin by smoothing it out, reducing the appearance of imperfections, and helping your makeup to stay on for much longer.
Tinted Moisturiser or BB Cream
On days where you can’t be bothered to apply your regular (usually expensive) foundation, apply a tinted moisturiser or BB cream instead. They help your skin to look glowing and alive, while still keeping it looking fresh and dewy.
Sometimes, the only thing I wear on my face is concealer. I use it in a triangle shape under my eyes, on my chin, nose, cheeks, and forehead to create a more flawless, awake appearance when I just can’t be bothered to apply anything else.
Looking a little pasty and poorly? Bronzer could be just the thing you need! Dust it over your forehead, nose, cheeks, and chin to create the look of a healthy summer glow.
