How to freeze blackberries

If you have already had a read of the ‘how to freeze strawberries article’, then this method for freezing blackberries is similar to that except for one thing…

Firstly place a sheet of waxed / greased baking paper on a baking / cookie sheet, then place the blackberries on (do not wash the blackberries - this will make them go more mushy once defrosted if you do). Make sure not to put any bruised or bad fruit on the tray. When placing the blackberries down do not let the fruit touch each other otherwise you will end up with a clump of fruit.

How to Freeze Strawberries

If you have any fresh strawberries left over, don’t let them just sit there and rot - try freezing them!

Frozen strawberries can provide a healthy snack, you can put them in smoothie recipes or even in a nice glass of champagne to keep it chilled - delicious!

Are you new to homemade smoothies?…

At flowercarole.com we receive emails asking us which smoothie recipes would we suggest to a person new to making homemade smoothies.

What we advise is to start off with a simple smoothie at first, something like the strawberry and banana recipe or maybe the banana baby smoothie recipe.
