Cranberries contain proanthocyanidins (PACs) that can prevent the adhesion of certain of bacteria, including E. coli, associated with urinary tract infections to the urinary tract wall. Apple Delight – Healthy Salad Recipe

Is it time to brighten up your salad recipes which you make? Do you ever use apples in the salads you prepare? If not, why not try this quick free salad recipe below, we guarantee you will love it.

Apple Delight Salad Recipe
(Serves 4)

Ingredients
4 large lettuce leaves
2 large apples (peeled and cubed)
2 stalks of celery (diced)
1 good handful of raisins
1 tablespoon of low fat mayonnaise
1 tablespoon of lemon juice

Method
Combine all ingredients (except for the lettuce leaves) in a large bowl. Place in the fridge until ready to serve. When ready to serve, place lettuce leave on each plate and spoon mixture on. Great as a side dish.
